Charyn canyon trip
Charyn Canyon is a unique miracle of nature, demonstrating the beauty and diversity of the landscape of Kazakhstan, which is undoubtedly worth a visit to get into the history.
You will walk along a path through the canyon and will be able to see the formations that look like castles, and many other wonders, as well as enjoy sitting beside the Charyn river.

Almaty – Charyn (230km)
Plan:
7:00 — Departure from the hotel to the Charyn canyon "Valley of Castles". Our driver will meet you at your hotel.
9:00 — Bayseit village. Our way will lie through this village, which has an open market. You can buy snacks, water, local fruits here. On the way back we can stop at a nice cafe and try fresh kebabs and other dishes.
10:00 — Arrival at Charyn. First we will drive up to the observation deck and you will see a panoramic view. Then we will descend into the canyon, a 2 km walking tour along a wide trail. At the end of the journey, a cool, stormy river and stunning views will be waiting for us.
12:00 — Departure to Almaty.
13:00 - Lunch at the national cafe in Baiseit (optional)
16:00 — Arrival at your hotel
Charyn Canyon is located just 230 km east of Almaty.
- Our driver will pick you up from the appointed address. You will head straight to the Charyn Canyon.
- After 1.5 hours you will pass the village, where you can buy fresh fruits, homemade cakes if you wish.
- Upon arrival at the canyon, go down the stairs to its depths.
- At the end of our walk we will see the stormy river Charyn. We will take photos, have a rest and go back.
- We will go to the Panoramic view of Charyn.
- On the way, we will have lunch at a roadside café, where you can try local traditional cuisine
- We will take you to the Almaty hotel.
