Issyk ("door" from Kazakh) is a picturesque Alpine lake surrounded by extraordinarily beautiful nature-dense forests and spacious flower fields. The lake is located at an altitude of 1760 meters above sea level, in the Issyk gorge of the Trans-Ili Alatau, about 70 km east of Almaty.

The road to the lake (70 km) — is 1 hour and 15 minutes in one direction on a comfortable road.
There is also an opportunity to expand the tour by visiting the Asy Plateau (Issyk Lake + Asy Plateau) or Turgen waterfall. This is another 1 hour of one-way road and a walking part of about 1.5 km.

Plan:
- 9:00 — 10:30 Departure from the hotel to Lake Issyk. The road lies through the city of Issyk and the gorge in the Trans-Ili Alatau.
You will stop at the Eco-Park. The car will remain in the parking lot, you will have to walk about 10 minutes down to the lake on an asphalt road.
- 11:00 – 12:30 Beautiful views in the mountains. A walk by the lake.
- 13:00 – 14:30 Return trip to Almaty.
