In summer, light covering clothes, a cap, and SPF 50+. In winter, thermal underwear and a windproof jacket. Footwear should have a tread, like sneakers or boots; no flip-flops.
Yes, snow lies in thin layers on the ledges, highlighting the shapes of the rocks. The canyon stays bright orange year-round. It is the perfect time for photos without tourist crowds.
Yes, the route through the Valley of Castles (2 km) is flat and easy. For the return climb, we recommend using eco-taxi (park SUVs) to save energy.
The visitor center has modern toilets, Tary café, and drinking fountains (in season). Inside the canyon itself there is no infrastructure, so we bring water with us.
There is no signal at the bottom of the canyon. Snakes are rare and afraid of noise, but we recommend staying on marked trails and watching your step.
The road to the park is excellent (asphalt). However, to reach the panoramic points of the Black or Lunar Canyons, high clearance is required. Our jeep tour takes you to places where a sedan simply cannot go.
